Many Indonesians are Aware that Melanesians in West Papua Want Independence

This video was taken by an Indonesia TV station. It has subtitles in English, so you can follow all the responses from Indonesian people on West Papua and the struggle for independence.

Majority Indonesians acknowledge:

  1. Papuans are different from Indonesians
  2. There is discrimination against Melanesians from West Papua. All of them acknowledge this.
  3. They are aware that Melanesians in West Papua want to separate from Indonesia.
  4. But many of them refuse to allow West Papua to separate, however, a number of them agree that it is logic to see that Melanesians in West Papua want independence.
